We extend our legal services to members

Bob Whyburn and Carmine Santone

Bob Whyburn has been our solicitor now for more than two decades. He first acted for us in 1994/95 in Allison vs Bega Valley - an unfair dismissal for a member who had been forced to resign. Allison versus Bega Valley remains the authority in New South Wales on the concept of constructive dismissal.

We had lost the case initially and then won it on appeal before Justice Frank Marx in 1995.

Bob has recently left NEW Law and is practising on his own account to continue to provide legal advice and assistance to depa and its members. Bob was our solicitor in our recent section 106 with Mid-Western and shares our values and perspectives.

Bob has also formed an association with Santone Lawyers and together they can assist members and their families in most areas of the law.

The principal of Santone Lawyers is Carmine Santone, who we have known almost for as long as we have known and used Bob’s services, and worked for Bob for years. They share our values and beliefs.

If you ring the office we will give you a referral to Bob, who will handle the matter himself, or refer it to Santone Lawyers.

Services are provided to members and members’ families at a special rate and some of the services offered are:

  • Workers Compensation and other forms of compensation law
